Eensgevonden is a working wine farm in a stunningly beautiful spot!
The farm has 400ha of mountain Nature Reserve with scenic hiking trails through virgin fynbos. Queen Victoria Peak is the highest part of the mountain, at a height of 1307m.
The mountain and the lower farm land have an interesting selection of bird species. Ninety seven different birds have been spotted so far!
A five minute walk from the cottages is a gorgeous secluded mountain swimming pool – a wonderful way to cool off in the Summer.
In the Winter, the mountains are snow-capped – a beautiful sight as they ascend majestically out from the valley of vineyards.
The Breede River is in one of the largest wine producing areas in South Africa. Over 50 wine cellars within a 20 km radius all offer free tasting of their excellent wines.
